It is the honor of the Greater Kalamazoo Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors to present this Distinguished Service Award to Charlie Etter for his decades of extraordinary dedication and volunteer service.


Charlie Etter’s current and prior background includes being a Member of State Bar of Michigan-authorized to practice in State and Federal Courts; Awarded AV Preeminent designation by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings; designated as one of America’s Most Honored Professionals by The American Registry for continuous professional recognition as one of the Top 1% of American Professionals; Western Michigan University: adjunct instructor for business law, guest lecturer for real estate and negotiations, member and chair of Finance and Commercial Law Advisory Committee; Kalamazoo College: guest lecturer for legal research, appellate Court brief writing and appellate oral arguments; Institute of Continuing Legal Education: seminar commentator, member of Real Estate Advisory Council; Seminars: speaker and panel member for numerous real estate seminars for Associations, companies and organizations in the lower peninsula; Indiana University School of Law, Doctor of Jurisprudence; Indiana University School of Business, Bachelor of Science; and member of Greater Kalamazoo Association of REALTORS® Risk Management Committee.

About his experience serving on the GKAR Risk Management Committee, he says,
